Drunk Lovers Extrait Extrême takes the boozy DNA of the original Drunk Lovers and pushes it into a much darker, richer, and more seductive direction. Created by perfumer Jordi Fernández, this extrait trades much of the original’s bright citrus character for deep red wine, warm spices, leather, woods, and smoky oud.

The fragrance opens with red wine, bergamot, wine lees, and clary sage, creating a dark, fermented fruitiness with a slightly tart, tannic edge. The wine accord immediately gives the fragrance an intoxicating character that feels richer and heavier than the original.

As it develops, brandy, red ginger, davana, jasmine sambac, and Peru balsam take over. Brandy reinforces the boozy character while red ginger adds spicy heat. Davana provides a rich, almost overripe fruity sweetness, while jasmine and Peru balsam give the heart a smooth floral and resinous depth.

The drydown is where Drunk Lovers Extrait Extrême becomes especially dark and sensual. Roasted tonka, Akigalawood, cistus, leather, and oud create a smoky, woody and slightly animalic base. The roasted tonka adds bittersweet warmth while leather and oud give the fragrance its powerful, seductive finish.
